RAIL EUROPE NEW E-TICKETING OPTIONS
Convenient for Germany and Italy

Train at Platform in Germany DBYou’re traveling in Europe and in a hurry to make a connection at a train station. The time between connecting trains can be just a few short minutes. You dash down the platform, down the stairs, through the concourse, up the stairs to another platform to catch the next train, leaving in three minutes. But you need a ticket, you didn’t get one in advance. You stand at a line of other harried locals to get a ticket from the automated kiosk. You try to use your credit card, but the machine won’t take it, because it requires a chip. You don’t have the cash, now you’ll have to go to a ticketing window. Another line. You’ve missed the connection. It’ll be another hour until the next train and you’ll miss that city tour you booked! Oh, the hassle. Okay, you could probably buy a ticket from the conductor on the train, or you could have gotten an E-Ticket in advance, and transfer between trains with relaxed assurance.

Planning for rail travel in Germany and Italy just got easier through Rail Europe. E-Ticketing is now available. Rail Europe, the designated rail outlet in North America is increasing it focus on point to point ticketing for passengers looking for direct trains rather than passes. In the past, tickets had to be picked up or delivered, but this new convenient option allows train travelers to get tickets on the go. More schedules and expanded ticket fares are also available on the two national railways. Explore two of Europe’s most popular tourist countries with more flexibility. It used to be that you’d search for routes on rail Europe and wouldn’t find the ame trains ats on the DB or Trentalia home sites, but with advanced search capabilities more trains are now found through the Rail Europe system to keep your online ticketing options through the same source as a Eurail pass.

There is a service charge margin to the price compared to the national sites, but if you’re arranging your other ticketing through Rail Europe, you can keep all arrangements through one service, and have someone to contact if you have problems or questions. The advantage of online E-Ticketing in advance also can take advantage of some limited seat discounts.
