Many discount cards are offered to travelers in different forms and functions.
Most of them are valuable if used enough to justify the cost. How about
a discount card that’s free? Founded in 1992, Heritage Island was
founded in Ireland to promote the country’s visitor attractions
to the individual visitor and the travel trade. Ireland Visitor Discounts
is new project for 2009 offering the overseas traveler a selection of
123 of Ireland’s leading cultural venues with a discount for savings.
The discounts range from 10% to 50%, and some free admission. Many of
them are “two for one” offers to some of the most popular
visitor attracting in both the Republic and Ireland and Northern Ireland,
historic destinations as well as heritage towns, theatres and performing
arts experiences.
The deal is pretty simple, you just go to the website and
print out the discount sheet which includes a list of the venues where
the discounts
are offered, take it with you and present it when purchasing entrance
tickets. If used at all the locations and attractions listed the savings
would amount to about $500, though you’d have to see a whole
lot of Ireland to get that far. The discounts are good for a maximum
of two
adults traveling together and not for groups, though if traveling with
friends, you could split up. They are not good on tickets
