on a 12th century church built on the site of an even earlier one mentioned
by the family ancestors in the “doomsday book”. The manor
at Ettington Park with its unique design even entered spooky movie history
as the exterior setting location of the "Hill House" for the
1963 film version of "the Haunting", and feels like a manor straight out of a Gothic romance horror book.
The hotel
property has 48 bedrooms, including eleven suites, two with four poster
beds.
Eat sumptuously under the
rococco ceiling in the Oak Room restaurant embossed with the family
crest. Relax in the paneled 19th century furnished

library reading room with its secret passage door hidden in the bookcases.

of Stratford-Upon-Avon on Shipston Road (A3400). By rail, Stratford-Upon-Avon
rail station
is 6 miles from the hotel. By air, Birmingham Airport is 25 miles
