Looking for a cheap airfare around Europe or the world? German home grown Condor Airlines has been around since 1955 first flying Vickers and Fokker aircraft around Germany, but has grown into a world wide carrier, flying Boeing 767’s, 757’s and Airbus 320’s. Condor is now owned by Thomas Cook the well-respected long-time UK based tour group. Condor Airlines is perhaps not as well known as other discount airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet, but flies a wide range of routes with a focus on international destinations and budget prices. On many long-haul destination flights Condor has bargain fares as cheap as 99 Euro each way all year long. For it’s inter-European intercity flights Condor has fares as low as 29 Euro each way, including all surcharges, which can be a real bargain compared to the extra charges RyanAir tags onto their promotional cheap fares (see Beware RyanAir).

For connecting flights and rail transfer, Condor has an arrangement with Lufthansa and shares its "Miles and More" Frequent Flyer Club miles with Lufthansa, making Condor one of the only discount airlines where you can earn frequent flyer miles usable on carriers like Lufthansa and United, US Air, Air Canada, Varig, Mexicana.

Condor offers a “Comfort Class” option, now on medium haul as well as its long haul budget flights. And one advantage Condor offers over its discount competitors is that many of the airports Condor flies to are Lufthansa gates at primary international airports, rather than secondary airports like many other discount carriers which require the added expense of transport between far flung landing spots. © Bargain Travel Europe
